Technical Description

The 2020 Doosan DNM5700 is a 3-axis vertical machining center occupying the upper mid-range of Doosan's DNM series, offering a larger work envelope and increased spindle power compared to the DNM500 while maintaining the platform's characteristic rigidity and reliability. The machine is constructed on a heavily ribbed cast iron base, column, and saddle designed to minimize vibration and maintain thermal stability across extended production runs. The DNM5700 provides an X-axis travel of 1,050 mm (41.3 in), Y-axis travel of 570 mm (22.4 in), and Z-axis travel of 510 mm (20.1 in), served by a 1,300 x 570 mm worktable with a maximum load capacity of 800 kg. The spindle delivers 18.5 kW (continuous) at a standard maximum speed of 8,000 RPM, supplying the torque required for aggressive material removal in steel, cast iron, and titanium workpieces. An optional 12,000 RPM spindle is available for applications benefiting from higher surface speeds. The DNM5700 is controlled by the Fanuc 0i-M CNC with DN Solutions Easy Operation Package (EOP), providing an intuitive 15-inch touchscreen interface, conversational programming support, and full G-code compatibility. A 30+1 arm-type automatic tool changer with BT40 (CAT40) spindle taper is standard, along with linear roller guideways on all axes for precise, low-friction axis motion. The machine occupies a floor footprint of approximately 3,145 x 2,221 mm (123.8 x 87.4 in), stands approximately 2,985 mm (117.5 in) tall, and weighs approximately 6,500 kg (14,330 lb).
