Technical Description

The 2021 Doosan DNM6700 is a 3-axis vertical machining center at the large-format end of the DNM series, offering expanded table area and increased axis travels compared to the DNM650 platform while maintaining the series' characteristic structural rigidity and reliability. The machine is constructed on a robust cast iron base and column designed for high stiffness during heavy-duty milling and boring operations across a wide range of workpiece materials. The DNM6700 provides an X-axis travel of 1,300 mm (51.2 in), Y-axis travel of 670 mm (26.4 in), and Z-axis travel of 625 mm (24.6 in), served by a 1,500 x 670 mm worktable with a maximum table load of 1,200 kg, enabling the fixturing of large structural, automotive, and energy sector components. The spindle is rated at 18.5 kW (continuous) with a standard maximum speed of 12,000 RPM, providing the power and torque range needed for aggressive roughing of ferrous materials as well as higher-speed finishing operations on aluminum and light alloys. An optional 15,000 RPM high-speed spindle is also available. The DNM6700 is equipped with the Fanuc 0i-M CNC control, with Siemens 828D and Heidenhain TNC 620 available as alternatives, providing broad operator familiarity and G-code compatibility. A 30+1 arm-type automatic tool changer with BT40 (CAT40) spindle taper and linear roller guideways on all axes are standard. The machine occupies a floor footprint of approximately 3,350 x 2,597 mm (131.9 x 102.2 in), stands approximately 3,120 mm (122.8 in) tall, and has a machine weight of approximately 8,500 kg (18,740 lb). The DNM6700 is well-suited for large-component production where a wide table and high spindle power are priorities.
