A+Technical Description
The 2020 Doosan DVF 8000 is a large-capacity 5-axis vertical machining center featuring an 800 mm diameter trunnion rotary-tilt table for simultaneous 5-axis machining of large aerospace, energy, and heavy industrial components. The A-axis tilts +/-120 degrees while the C-axis provides continuous 360-degree rotation, enabling full 5-sided access without re-clamping. X-, Y-, and Z-axis travels measure 39.4, 35.4, and 27.0 inches respectively, accommodating large workpieces up to 1,000 mm in diameter and 590 mm in height. The table supports loads up to 3,086 lbs (1,400 kg). A 30 HP (22 kW) BIG PLUS CAT 40 spindle reaches 18,000 RPM with 118 Nm of torque, driven as standard by a Fanuc 31i-B5 control with Heidenhain TNC 640 and Siemens 840D sl available as options. Through-spindle coolant and a 60-tool ATC support high-productivity uninterrupted cutting cycles in titanium, Inconel, and hardened steel. The DVF 8000's thermally stable one-piece casting absorbs cutting forces across its generous work envelope while maintaining micron-level positioning accuracy. The machine measures approximately 161 inches long, 116 inches wide, and 145 inches tall, with a total installed weight of approximately 55,116 lbs (25,000 kg), making it one of Doosan's most capable 5-axis platforms for large-part, high-complexity production environments.
