A+Technical Description
The 2010 Doosan MV3016L is a 3-axis vertical machining center and the long-table variant of the MV3016 platform, featuring a slightly wider work table of 36.2 x 17.7 inches to accommodate larger workpieces. Axis travels measure 30.0 inches in X, 16.1 inches in Y, and 20.1 inches in Z. The CAT 40 spindle provides 10 HP continuous (15 HP peak) at up to 8,000 RPM, controlled by a Fanuc 0i-MB or Fanuc 21i-MB CNC unit depending on production year. The machine features box-way guideways on all axes for high rigidity and vibration damping, well suited to milling steel, cast iron, and aluminum components. A 24-tool (optionally 30-tool) ATC supports multi-step operations in a single setup. The MV3016L was a popular choice in North American and European job shops during the Daewoo-to-Doosan transition era, valued for its robust construction and Fanuc control compatibility. The machine is compatible with standard CAT 40 tooling and features flood coolant as standard equipment. Overall machine dimensions measure approximately 116 x 99 inches in footprint with a height of 108 inches and a total installed weight of approximately 12,000 lbs, marginally heavier than the base MV3016 due to the extended table assembly.
