Technical Description

The 2022 ENSHU EV450T is a 3-axis vertical machining center designed for versatile production machining of medium-sized workpieces across a wide range of materials including steel, cast iron, and aluminum. Produced by ENSHU Limited of Japan, the EV450T features a CAT40/BT40 spindle with 18.5 kW (24.8 HP) of continuous power, capable of generating the torque needed for aggressive cutting in ferrous and non-ferrous materials alike. Maximum spindle speed is 10,000 RPM. The machine offers 22.0 inches of X-axis travel, with an optional extended 31.5-inch X configuration, 17.7 inches of Y-axis travel, and 18.1 inches of Z-axis travel. The work table measures 31.5 by 17.7 inches with a table load capacity of 1,100 lbs (500 kg), accommodating substantial fixture and workpiece weights. A 24-tool automatic tool changer enables extended unattended production runs, and an optional automatic pallet changer is available for further automation. Rapid traverse rates reach 50 m/min (1,968 IPM) on all axes. The EV450T is 4th-axis ready for rotational indexing operations without a dedicated 5th axis. Machine control is provided by a Fanuc 0i-MF CNC, a reliable and widely supported platform with full canned-cycle and macro programming capability. Overall machine dimensions are 95.0 by 82.7 by 111.4 inches. The EV450T represents ENSHU's current-generation mid-size VMC platform, combining high spindle power with compact, rigid construction for demanding production applications.
