A+Technical Description
The 2009 FANUC T14ID is a 3-axis compact drilling, tapping, and milling center from the FANUC RoboDrill Alpha T14iD series, representing a D-generation refinement of the T14 platform with updated servo drives and CNC architecture. The T14iD retained the core mechanical design of the T14iB while incorporating improved servo motor performance and enhanced FANUC CNC integration. The BT30 spindle operates at up to 10,000 to 15,000 RPM depending on configuration, with synchronized rigid tapping standard. The 650 x 400 mm worktable accommodates workpieces up to 200 kg within 500 mm X, 400 mm Y, and 330 mm Z travels. The 14-tool arm-type ATC delivers 0.9-second tool-to-tool change time, and rapid traverse approaches 2,125 IPM. The FANUC 16i-MB CNC provides comprehensive G-code, FANUC macro B, and improved background editing and diagnostic capabilities. Continuous spindle power is approximately 7.5 HP. Machine weight is approximately 4,409 lbs. The T14iD generation introduced enhanced thermal compensation and axis drive performance relative to the T14iB, improving sustained positioning accuracy under production loads. Built-in FANUC servo and spindle drive technology simplifies maintenance, and the widespread availability of FANUC 16i-series trained technicians supports economical long-term operation. The T14iD remains a productive platform for high-volume production drilling and tapping in automotive and electronics manufacturing.
