Technical Description

The 2011 FANUC T14IM is a 3-axis compact drilling, tapping, and milling center from the FANUC RoboDrill T14 series equipped with the FANUC 16i-M CNC control. The M designation in this model reference indicates the FANUC Series 16i-M controller variant, with the underlying machine being the T14iA or T14iB-generation RoboDrill. The BT30 spindle provides synchronized rigid tapping and drilling at up to 10,000 to 15,000 RPM depending on spindle configuration. The 650 x 400 mm worktable accommodates workpieces up to 200 kg within axis travels of 500 mm X, 400 mm Y, and 330 mm Z. The 14-tool arm-type ATC achieves 0.9-second tool-to-tool change time, and rapid traverse rates approach 1,889 to 2,125 IPM. The FANUC 16i-M control provides G-code compatibility, FANUC macro B, background editing, and the well-established FANUC operator interface familiar to the majority of CNC production operators. Continuous spindle power is approximately 7.5 HP. Machine weight is approximately 3,850 to 4,000 lbs. Like all T14-series RoboD rills, the T14iM is mechanically robust and designed for high-cycle production drilling and tapping applications in automotive and electronics manufacturing. The mature FANUC 16i platform benefits from extensive third-party support, a broad installed base of trained operators, and readily available service documentation.
