Technical Description

The 2010 FANUC T21FLA is a 3-axis compact drilling, tapping, and milling center from the FANUC RoboDrill Alpha T21iFLA series, the F-generation long-bed advanced variant of the T21 platform. The extended L-size 850 x 410 mm worktable provides 700 mm X-axis travel, accommodating workpieces up to 300 kg. The BT30 spindle operates at up to 10,000 RPM standard, with a 24,000 RPM high-speed option, and synchronized rigid tapping is standard. A 21-tool arm-type ATC provides fast tool changes. The FANUC 31i-A5 CNC enables comprehensive G-code, FANUC macro B, and 4th/5th-axis positioning capability when optional rotary tables are fitted. Y-axis travel is 400 mm and Z-axis travel is 330 mm. Continuous spindle power is approximately 7.5 HP. Machine weight is approximately 6,000 lbs, somewhat heavier than the standard M-bed T21 due to the extended L-size column and table. The T21FLA's combination of long-bed capacity, high spindle speed, 21-tool magazine, and advanced FANUC 31i-A5 control provides a versatile production platform for elongated aluminum components, multi-cavity fixture arrays, and connector housings requiring several operations in a single setup. Like all F-generation RoboD rills, this machine incorporates updated servo drive technology relative to the earlier T14 and T21i-D series.
