The 2008 GF Machining Solutions Mikron HPM 1150U is a 5-axis large-format high-performance vertical machining center manufactured by Georg Fischer Machining Solutions in Switzerland. Designed for five-axis simultaneous machining of large, complex parts in aerospace, energy, die/mold, and heavy equipment sectors, the HPM 1150U features a 1,000 mm diameter rotary swivel table and linear travels of 39.37 inches in X, 45.28 inches in Y, and 27.56 inches in Z. The A-axis swivels from +16 to -120 degrees while the C-axis provides continuous 360-degree rotation, enabling complete five-sided access in a single setup. The HSK-A63 spindle delivers 38 kW (51 HP) at 40 percent duty cycle with speeds up to 15,000 RPM and 193 Nm of torque, providing outstanding material removal capability for large aerospace and structural components. CNC motion control is provided by the Heidenhain iTNC 530 system, offering advanced five-axis interpolation and TCPM.
