The 2010 Hurco VM1 is a 3-axis vertical machining center from Hurco's VM series, a compact platform designed for precision machining of small-to-medium components in job shop, toolroom, and production environments. The VM1 features axis travels of 24 inches in X, 16 inches in Y, and 20 inches in Z, accommodating a wide range of workpiece sizes typical of precision component manufacturing. The worktable measures 30 inches by 14 inches and features T-slots for flexible workholding configuration. The spindle is driven by a 15 HP motor and operates at speeds up to 8,000 RPM through a CAT40 taper, providing the torque and speed range required for milling, drilling, boring, and tapping in steel, aluminum, cast iron, and engineering plastics.
