2019 HURCO VM1 VERTICAL MACHINING CENTERS
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The 2019 Hurco VM1 is a 3-axis vertical machining center from Hurco's VM series, a compact platform designed for precision machining of small-to-medium components in job shop, toolroom, and production environments. The VM1 features axis travels of 24 inches in X, 16 inches in Y, and 20 inches in Z, accommodating a wide range of workpiece sizes typical of precision component manufacturing. The worktable measures 30 inches by 14 inches and features T-slots for flexible workholding configuration. The spindle is driven by a 15 HP motor and operates at speeds up to 8,000 RPM through a CAT40 taper, providing the torque and speed range required for milling, drilling, boring, and tapping in steel, aluminum, cast iron, and engineering plastics. The VM1's spindle and travel specifications make it particularly effective for precision work on components that fit comfortably within its 24-inch X-axis travel, enabling tight tolerances and good surface finish across a broad range of materials. The 2019 VM1 is equipped with Hurco's WinMax conversational CNC control, which supports simultaneous conversational and G-code programming at the machine without an external CAM system. WinMax features a large touchscreen interface, DXF file import, Ethernet connectivity, and built-in toolpath simulation, enabling operators to write and verify programs at the machine with minimal setup overhead. The conversational programming capability is particularly valued in job shop environments with high part mix and frequent changeovers. Standard equipment includes an 18-tool automatic tool changer for multi-operation unattended machining. Optional equipment includes coolant-through-spindle, a chip conveyor, fourth-axis interface, and probing systems. Machine weight is approximately 6,000 pounds, providing a stable, vibration-resistant platform relative to the VM1's compact footprint. The VM1 is well suited to precision component production, prototype machining, and toolroom applications where a combination of compact footprint, conversational programming, and dimensional accuracy are the primary requirements.
