The 2011 Hurco VM10 is a 3-axis vertical machining center from Hurco's VM series, a compact platform designed for precision machining of small-to-medium components in job shop, toolroom, and production environments. The VM10 features axis travels of 20 inches in X, 16 inches in Y, and 20 inches in Z, with a worktable measuring 26 inches by 14 inches offering T-slot fixturing capacity across its full length. The spindle is driven by a 15 HP motor and operates at speeds up to 8,000 RPM through a CAT40 taper, providing the torque and speed range required for milling, drilling, boring, and tapping in steel, aluminum, cast iron, and engineering plastics. The VM10's travel envelope is well matched to precision small-to-medium components, enabling tight tolerances and good surface finish across a broad range of work materials. The 2011 VM10 is equipped with Hurco's WinMax conversational CNC control, supporting simultaneous conversational and G-code programming at the machine without external CAM software.
