Technical Description

The 2019 Hurco VMX60SWI is a 5-axis vertical machining center featuring a swivel spindle head (B-axis, plus or minus 92 degrees) and Hurco WinMax i-control across a 60-inch X-axis envelope, providing simultaneous 5-axis contouring capability without an integrated rotary table. The machine provides 60-inch X-axis travel, 26-inch Y-axis travel, and 24-inch Z-axis travel with a 66-inch by 26-inch full-length worktable capable of supporting table loads up to 4,410 pounds. The absence of an integrated C-axis rotary table delivers a larger usable table surface compared to the SRT variants, providing greater flexibility for large flat workpieces, fixtures, or workholding systems where full table access is required. The high-torque spindle delivers 48 horsepower peak at up to 12,000 RPM on a CAT 40 taper, enabling efficient 5-axis cutting across aluminum, steel, titanium, and engineering alloys. The WinMax MAX5 i-control provides conversational and G-code 5-axis programming, DXF import, 3D toolpath simulation, and UltiMotion servo optimization.
