The 2015 Kitamura Mycenter 3XD is a 3-axis vertical machining center offering extended Y and Z axis travels relative to the standard Mycenter 3X platform. The machine provides a 33.9" x 19.7" worktable with X/Y/Z travels of 30.0", 20.1", and 20.1" -- approximately 2 inches more in Y and Z than the standard 3X -- suited to taller workpieces and deeper mold cavities. The NRG belt-drive spindle reaches 12,000 RPM as standard -- with 15,000 RPM available -- driven by a 15 HP continuous motor (20 HP for 30 minutes). A 24-tool ATC is standard with a 40-tool option. Fanuc CNC control with Kitamura's integrated interface provides rigid tapping, high-speed contouring, and macro programming. Maximum table load is 1,760 lbs. Rapid traverse of 48 m/min on X/Y and 42 m/min on Z supports efficient repositioning during complex machining sequences. The 3XD is suited to shops requiring additional clearance for taller workpieces while retaining Kitamura's benchmark thermal compensation and accuracy retention.
