Technical Description

The 2000 Kitamura Mycenter-0 is a 3-axis vertical machining center representing Kitamura's smallest compact platform, designed for high-precision small-part machining in a minimal floor footprint. Built on the same Meehanite cast iron construction principles as larger Kitamura models, the Mycenter-0 provides the rigidity and thermal stability required for accurate small-scale work despite its compact dimensions. The machine features a worktable measuring approximately 24 by 12.4 inches, with axis travels of approximately 12 inches in X, 10 inches in Y, and 12 inches in Z. The spindle is capable of reaching up to 12,000 RPM through a compact taper interface, providing the rotational speed range necessary for both drilling and precision contouring of small features in a variety of materials. Axis motion is delivered through precision-ground ball screws on all three axes. The CNC control provides standard G-code programming, canned cycle support, and rigid tapping capability. An automatic tool changer enables multi-operation production without manual tool changes. The machine's compact footprint makes it ideal for tool room applications, watch and instrument component machining, medical device part production, and any application where small features and high accuracy are required in a space-efficient machine. The Mycenter-0 reflects Kitamura's engineering commitment to accuracy and rigidity across all size classes of their VMC product line.
