Technical Description

The 2019 Leadwell V-20iT is a 5-axis vertical machining center featuring an integrated tilting trunnion table enabling simultaneous 5-axis contouring for complex small-part production. The compact machine incorporates a built-in A+B-axis trunnion platter measuring 8.3 inches (211 mm) in diameter, providing complete 5-sided access to workpieces in a single setup. Linear axis travels are 20.1 inches in X, 13.8 inches in Y, and 15.7 inches in Z, with A-axis tilt of plus or minus 90 degrees and full 360-degree B-axis rotation. The CAT-40 spindle reaches 12,000 RPM. The maximum workpiece weight on the trunnion is 165 lbs. The Fanuc 0i-MD CNC provides full 5-axis simultaneous interpolation, RTCP tilted workplane support, look-ahead interpolation, and rigid tapping. A 24-tool automatic tool changer enables complex 5-axis programs. The compact footprint and 5-axis capability make the V-20iT particularly well suited for small aerospace components, medical device parts, dental implants, and precision instrument components requiring multi-axis contouring in a space-efficient 5-axis platform.
