Technical Description

The 2022 MECTRON MTVT360 is a 3-axis vertical machining center engineered for precision milling, drilling, tapping, and boring of small-to-medium workpieces in toolroom, prototype, and short-run production environments. Manufactured by MECTRON, the MTV-T360 combines a compact footprint with a rigid cast-iron structure to deliver accurate results across a broad range of materials including aluminum, steel, stainless, and brass. The 500 x 420 mm work table provides ample clamping surface for single-part and multi-fixture setups within the 500 x 420 x 300 mm X/Y/Z machining envelope. The 5.5 kW continuous-duty spindle motor supports cutting loads through a 12,000 RPM ISO 40 spindle, with spindle speed and feed rates managed through the Fanuc 0i-MD CNC control. The Fanuc 0i-MD provides industry-standard G-code compatibility, conversational programming, and tool-life management in a well-supported control platform familiar to most CNC machinists. High-quality linear guideways on all three axes deliver smooth, precise motion with minimal lost motion, supporting tight dimensional tolerances on finished parts. The machine's 2,800 kg (6,173 lb) mass provides sufficient damping for stable milling without vibration artifacts. Overall dimensions of 2,065 x 1,500 x 2,130 mm allow the MTVT360 to fit in production cells with limited floor space while retaining full machining capability.
