A+Technical Description
The 2008 MILLTRONICS RH35 is a 3-axis vertical machining center from Milltronics Manufacturing, representing the largest model in the standard RH column series, engineered for very large workpiece machining in aerospace, energy, defense, and heavy mold and die manufacturing environments. The RH35 features a 126 x 32 inch T-slotted work table within a 120 x 35 x 30 inch X/Y/Z machining envelope, providing the capacity needed for full-length aerospace structural profiles, large mold bases, and heavy industrial fixtures in a single setup without repositioning. The 24 HP continuous-duty spindle motor operates through a CAT-40 or #50 spindle taper at speeds up to 8,000 RPM for standard configurations, with XP variants extending to 15,000 RPM for high-speed finishing capability. The 40-taper version provides cost-effective tooling for steel and aluminum work, while the 50-taper XP variant delivers the torque needed for heavy facing and slotting on large ferrous workpieces. A 24-station automatic tool changer supports diverse multi-step programs across the full envelope. The Milltronics Centurion 6 CNC control provides conversational and G-code programming with rigid tapping, tool compensation, and the manufacturer's job shop-oriented interface. At approximately 40,000 lbs on XP configurations, the RH35's substantial cast iron construction delivers the structural mass required for accurate large-part machining without vibration or thermal distortion. The RH35 is a proven large-envelope domestic VMC solution for North American aerospace and heavy manufacturing customers.
