A+Technical Description
The 2007 MILLTRONICS TT24 is a 3-axis dual-table vertical machining center from Milltronics Manufacturing, designed to maximize spindle utilization through simultaneous load-and-machine operation using two independent work surfaces. The TT24 features twin work tables, each 22 x 26 inches, positioned side-by-side within a 23 x 25 x 20 inch X/Y/Z machining envelope, allowing one table to be loaded and prepared while the spindle actively machines the opposite table. This configuration eliminates spindle idle time between cycles, substantially improving throughput in high-volume production environments compared to single-table VMC alternatives. The 24 HP (30-minute) / 15 HP continuous spindle motor operates through a BIG-PLUS ISO No. 40 taper at speeds up to 10,000 RPM standard (15,000 RPM optional), with spindle torque rated at the Big-Plus interface for enhanced rigidity and vibration resistance during demanding face milling and contouring operations. A 24-tool double-arm automatic tool changer changes tools rapidly between programs. Maximum combined table load of 2,000 lbs (900 kg) supports moderate-weight production workpieces. Rapid traverse of 1,600 IPM (40 m/min) on all axes enables fast pallet-to-pallet axis moves during table-switching cycles. Overall machine dimensions of 179.7 x 125 x 110 inches and a 16,000-pound machine weight reflect the TT24's dual-table architecture. The Milltronics Centurion 7 CNC control manages dual-table sequencing alongside standard conversational and G-code programming. Power requirements are 48 kVA at 208 to 240V three-phase.
