A+Technical Description
The 2018 Okuma GENOS M660V is a 3-axis vertical machining center built on a double-column bridge frame engineered for large-format workpieces requiring high rigidity and thermal stability. As the larger sibling of the M560V within the GENOS series, the M660V expands both table size and axis travel while retaining the same Thermo-Friendly Concept (TFC) architecture and OSP-P300M control platform. The worktable measures 60.24" x 25.98" (1,530 x 660 mm) with a load capacity of 2,205 lbs (1,000 kg). Axis travels are 59.06" in X, 25.98" in Y, and 25.98" in Z. Rapid traverse is 1,417 IPM (36 m/min) on all axes. The built-in direct-drive CAT40 Big-Plus spindle delivers 22 kW (approximately 29.5 HP continuous) with a standard maximum speed of 15,000 RPM, with an optional CAT50 taper variant limited to 12,000 RPM for heavier cutting applications. A 32-tool arm-type ATC provides chip-to-chip changes in approximately 3.1 seconds. Standard equipment includes Okuma's Collision Avoidance System (CAS), Machining Navi for chatter suppression, through-spindle coolant preparation, and full enclosure with chip conveyor. The OSP-P300M control features a 15" touchscreen, integrated simulation, and remote monitoring via Okuma Connect Plan. Overall machine footprint is approximately 129.7" x 119.5" (L x W) with a height of 130.9" and a weight of approximately 24,692 lbs (11,200 kg).
