2011 OKUMA MB46V VERTICAL MACHINING CENTERS
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The 2011 Okuma MB46V is a 3-axis vertical machining center from Okuma's MB-V series, a linear-guideway platform designed for high-speed, high-accuracy cutting across aluminum, steel, and cast iron applications. The MB46V employs Okuma's Thermo-Friendly Concept (TFC) to thermally stabilize the machine structure and spindle assembly, eliminating the need for a lengthy warm-up cycle and maintaining dimensional accuracy throughout the workday. The worktable measures 39.37" x 18.11" (1,000 x 460 mm) with a maximum load of approximately 1,300 lbs. Axis travels are 30" in X, 18.11" in Y, and 18.11" in Z, with rapid traverse of 1,417 IPM (36 m/min) on X and Y and 1,181 IPM (30 m/min) on Z. The CAT40/BT40 taper spindle delivers approximately 15 HP continuous with a maximum speed of 8,000 RPM, with optional upgrade paths to 15,000 RPM for high-speed aluminum applications. A 20-tool arm-type ATC provides chip-to-chip changes in approximately 4 seconds. The Okuma OSP-U100M control features conversational and G-code programming, canned cycles for drilling, tapping, and boring, servo drives with absolute encoders, and built-in diagnostic tools. Overall machine dimensions are approximately 106" x 86" (L x W) with a height of 109" and a weight of approximately 14,300 lbs (6,486 kg).
