Technical Description

The 2013 Sharp SVG 6335 is a 3-axis vertical machining center designed for large-format precision machining of molds, dies, aerospace components, and oversized structural parts. Manufactured by Sharp Industries, the SVG 6335 series is built on a heavily ribbed cast-iron base and column structure with hardened and precision-ground box-way guideways, providing the structural mass and damping characteristics required for heavy cutting. The expansive 67 x 32-inch worktable accepts large workpieces, heavy fixtures, and multiple part setups simultaneously, while T-slots accommodate diverse workholding solutions. Axis travels of 63 inches in X, 32 inches in Y, and 30 inches in Z deliver a large working volume suited to long-bed and wide-format machining. The 40-taper spindle operates at up to 8,000 RPM with 20 HP continuous output, providing the torque for roughing tool steel and the speed needed for aluminum finish milling. An automatic tool changer supports multi-tool programs and extended unattended operation. The Fanuc 0i-M CNC control delivers full G-code, canned cycle, and macro programming with network connectivity. At approximately 22,000 lbs, the SVG 6335 reflects large-format construction and heavy-duty machining capability suited to mold, die, fixture, and structural component production.
