THE WEEKE OPTIMAT NBP084/VANTECH 480 IS A 3-AXIS CNC ROUTER DESIGNED FOR NESTING AND PRECISION MACHINING APPLICATIONS. BUILT ON A HEAVY-DUTY TUBULAR STEEL FRAME, THIS GANTRY-STYLE MACHINE FEATURES A 48" X 96" VACUUM TABLE THAT PROVIDES STABLE SUPPORT FOR HIGH-SPEED PROCESSING. IT IS EQUIPPED WITH A 12 HP (9 KW) HSD HIGH-SPEED ELECTRO-SPINDLE AND A BORING BLOCK WITH 7 VERTICAL DRILLING SPINDLES FOR EFFICIENT MULTI-OPERATION MACHINING. A TOOL CHANGER WITH 7 TO 8 POSITIONS, DEPENDING ON CONFIGURATION, SUPPORTS FLEXIBLE TOOLING SETUPS, WHILE THE Z-AXIS OFFERS 9.6" OF TRAVEL TO ACCOMMODATE VARYING MATERIAL THICKNESSES. MOTION IS DRIVEN BY SERVO-CONTROLLED SYSTEMS WITH PRECISION LINEAR GUIDES, WITH A DUAL-DRIVE RACK AND PINION SYSTEM ON THE X-AXIS AND PRECISION DRIVE MECHANISMS ON THE Y AND Z AXES FOR CONSISTENT POSITIONING. CONTROL IS MANAGED THROUGH A STAND-ALONE WEEKE CABINET, PROVIDING AN INTEGRATED INTERFACE FOR MACHINE OPERATION. STANDARD EQUIPMENT INCLUDES FOUR BECKER VACUUM PUMPS FOR WORKHOLDING, A SCISSOR LIFT TABLE FOR MATERIAL HANDLING, AND AN OUTFEED SYSTEM FOR PROCESSED PARTS, ALONG WITH PROTECTIVE FENCING FOR OPERATOR SAFETY. THIS CONFIGURATION IS WELL-SUITED FOR NESTED-BASED MANUFACTURING AND PANEL PROCESSING APPLICATIONS REQUIRING ACCURACY AND REPEATABILITY.
