2017 YASDA YBM800N VERTICAL MACHINING CENTERS
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The 2017 YASDA YBM800N is a 3-axis ultra-precision CNC jig boring and machining center produced by Yasda Precision Tools of Japan, a manufacturer internationally recognized as a benchmark for sub-micron machining accuracy. The YBM-N series machines are built on thermally stabilized, hand-scraped cast iron bases with hardened and ground box-way guideways, a construction approach that delivers exceptional rigidity and long-term geometric accuracy retention. The YBM800N is designed for high-precision boring, milling, and drilling of mold bases, precision fixtures, and aerospace components where tolerances in the single-digit micron range are required. All axes employ large-diameter precision ball screws with thermal compensation, and the in-house built spindle features YASDA’s unique preload self-adjusting bearing system, which maintains consistent preload across speed ranges to deliver both high-torque low-speed boring and smooth high-speed finishing. The machine’s double-width hardened box ways on all axes provide superior damping compared to linear guideway designs, making the YBM800N highly capable for hard-material and interrupted-cut applications. A Fanuc control with YASDA’s customized compensation cycles provides the interface for positioning accuracies well within 1 micrometer. The machine is suited for toolrooms, aerospace subcontractors, and precision mold shops where ultimate accuracy and surface finish are non-negotiable priorities.
