Technical Description

The 2008 YCM DCV3016B is a 3-axis double-column vertical machining center built by Yeong Chin Machinery Industries of Taiwan for the machining of large dies, molds, structural aerospace components, and heavy industrial parts requiring a wide work envelope and extreme rigidity. The double-column architecture, with its extra-wide column base and internal rib structure developed through finite element analysis, provides the structural mass and geometric stability needed to maintain accuracy under high cutting loads across a 128.3 x 59.1 inch working table. The machine delivers X/Y/Z travels of 120.5 x 63.0 x 29.9 inches, accommodating exceptionally large workpieces in a single setup. The gear-driven spindle, equipped with roller-type bearings for maximum cutting rigidity, operates at up to 4,500 RPM and is optimized for heavy torque delivery in steel, cast iron, and hardened alloys. A 50-station automatic tool changer provides substantial tool capacity for multi-operation large-part programs. The three-roller-type guideway system on X and Y axes, with 15 slider blocks on the X-axis, ensures smooth motion and high load-bearing capacity for the large table and workpiece mass. The machine’s CNC control supports rigid tapping, helical interpolation, and DNC communication. The DCV3016B is purpose-built for manufacturers in the die and mold, automotive tooling, heavy equipment, and aerospace sectors requiring large double-column machining capability.
