Technical Description

The 2019 YCM NSV66A is a 3-axis compact vertical machining center manufactured by Yeong Chin Machinery Industries of Taiwan, offering a higher-performance alternative to the NXV560A in the compact VMC class. The NSV66A provides X/Y/Z travels of 26.0 x 20.1 x 22.0 inches and features a 12,000 RPM BBT40 spindle with 25 kW (approximately 34 HP) of spindle power, significantly more than typical compact VMCs, enabling aggressive material removal rates in steel and titanium as well as high-speed aluminum contouring. The machine’s extra-large delta-shaped column casting and wide guideway spacing improve rigidity by 50 percent compared to earlier compact YCM models, supported by 45 mm diameter roller-type linear guideways with six slide blocks on the X-axis for maximum load capacity up to 700 kg. YCM’s isolated direct-drive (IDD) spindle with ceramic bearings provides low vibration, optimal heat isolation, and excellent surface finish under continuous high-speed operation. Rapid feedrates of 48 m/min (1,890 IPM) on all three axes enable extremely fast cycle times for small precision parts. A 30-station automatic tool changer with an auto-door protects tooling from coolant and chip contamination. Rigid tapping, Ethernet DNC, and full enclosure with advanced chip management are standard. The NSV66A is designed for medical device, electronics, precision mold, and aerospace subcontract shops requiring high-performance machining in a compact footprint.
