Technical Description

The 2017 YCM TCV3000A 5AX is a 5-axis traveling-column vertical machining center manufactured by Yeong Chin Machinery Industries of Taiwan, combining the capacity of a large-envelope traveling-column platform with a swivel head and integrated rotary table for simultaneous 5-axis machining of complex, elongated workpieces. The machine provides X/Y/Z linear travels of 118.1 x 31.5 x 31.5 inches, with the column traveling along the 3,000 mm X-axis while the workpiece remains stationary on the 137.8 x 31.5 inch fixed table, ideal for long aerospace structures, turbine components, large molds, and multi-fixture production setups. A 31.5 inch (800 mm) direct-drive rotary table integrated into the fixed table provides the C-axis rotation, while the B-axis swivel head tilts plus or minus 110 degrees for compound-angle machining. The BBT40 or HSK-A63 spindle operates at 12,000 RPM with optional 15,000 or 16,000 RPM configurations and 25 kW (approximately 34 HP) of power. Rapid traverses of 40 m/min (1,575 IPM) on all axes enable productive cycle times across the large work envelope. The Fanuc or Heidenhain CNC provides full 5-axis RTCP control, rigid tapping, DNC connectivity, and support for complex multi-axis CAM programs. The TCV3000A 5AX is suited to aerospace, energy, and automotive industries requiring simultaneous 5-axis machining of large, complex parts in a traveling-column configuration.
