A+Technical Description
The 2000 YCM TV158B is a 3-axis traveling-column vertical machining center manufactured by Yeong Chin Machinery Industries of Taiwan, representing the larger sibling of the TV146B with an expanded Y-axis stroke for wider workpieces and tooling setups. The TV158B provides X/Y/Z travels of 59.1 x 33.9 x 29.5 inches over a fixed 66.9 x 33.9 inch table with a 4,409 lb capacity, enabling single-setup machining of very large dies, mold sets, aerospace structures, and heavy fabricated components. The traveling-column, fixed-table design keeps even the heaviest workpieces stationary during machining, eliminating inertial effects on positioning accuracy. Hardened box-way guideways on all three axes provide the rigidity, vibration damping, and geometric accuracy retention that the TV series is known for in heavy-cutting applications. The BT50 gear-driven spindle operates at up to 6,000 RPM standard with optional 10,000 RPM and 25 HP continuous power with optional 45 HP configuration, delivering high low-speed torque of 48 kgf-m for hard material roughing. A 24-station automatic tool changer expandable to 32 or 40 tools enables complex multi-operation large-part programs. Rapid traverses of 1,181 IPM on X and Y axes and 945 IPM on Z provide productive non-cutting cycle times. The Fanuc or Siemens control provides full production CNC capability including rigid tapping, DNC, and helical interpolation. At 39,683 lbs machine weight, the TV158B is built for the most demanding heavy-cut production applications.
