A+Technical Description
The 2006 YCM XV560A is a 3-axis compact vertical machining center produced by Yeong Chin Machinery Industries of Taiwan. An updated variant of the XV560, the XV560A retains the same proven machine geometry and incorporates the IDD (Inline Direct Drive) spindle design, in which the Fanuc Vector Drive AC spindle motor is directly coupled to the spindle shaft, eliminating belt and gear drives to reduce vibration, backlash, and thermally-induced error. The CAT-40 spindle runs to 10,000 RPM with a continuous power rating of 10 HP. The symmetrically designed headstock wall absorbs thermal expansion uniformly to maintain positional accuracy over extended production runs. Axis travels are 22.0 inches in X, 16.1 inches in Y, and 17.7 inches in Z, supported throughout on precision linear guideways. A 20-station automatic tool changer handles tool changes in approximately 3.5 seconds. The 27.6 x 16.5 inch worktable supports workpiece loads up to 660 lbs. Rigid tapping is available through spindle-speed feedback to the Fanuc MXP-100FA CNC control, which also provides full G-code programming, AI nano-interpolation, and Ethernet connectivity. Factory acceptance includes ball-bar and laser calibration tests. Standard features include spindle air blast at tool change and positive-pressure airflow to protect spindle bearings. The XV560A is a capable platform for precision die and mold, medical, and aerospace component machining where a compact footprint is an asset. Machine weight is approximately 9,900 lbs.
