Technical Description

The AWEA BM1200-50 is a 3-axis vertical machining center from AWEA Mechantronic Co., Ltd.'s BM series, representing the CAT-50 spindle taper variant of the BM1200 platform designed for heavy-duty machining with larger tooling and higher torque capability. The CAT-50 taper accommodates larger diameter toolholders and provides greater rigidity at the spindle-tool interface for heavy roughing operations in tool steels, cast iron, and large workpiece applications. Box-way guideway construction on all axes delivers maximum structural damping for sustained heavy cutting cycles. X-axis travel is 1,200 mm (47.2 inches), Y-axis travel is approximately 600 mm (23.6 inches), and Z-axis travel is approximately 800 mm (31.5 inches). The high-power spindle motor delivers maximum speed of 8,000 RPM through the CAT-50 interface. An arm-type ATC and Fanuc 0i-MD or Mitsubishi CNC control are standard. Standard equipment includes flood coolant, chip conveyor, automatic lubrication, and full enclosure guarding.
