Technical Description

The 2012 Brother TCS2DN0 is a 3-axis CNC drilling and tapping center representing the long-table variant of the TC-S2DN series, providing an extended X-axis travel suited to longer workpieces and multi-fixture setups. The BT30 direct-drive spindle delivers 6.7 kW of continuous power (approximately 9 HP) at 10,000 RPM standard, with an optional 16,000 RPM configuration available for ultra-high-speed tapping applications. The work table measures 800 mm x 400 mm (31.5 x 15.7 inches), with axis travels of 700 mm (27.6 inches) in X, 400 mm (15.7 inches) in Y, and 300 mm (11.8 inches) in Z. A 14- or 21-tool ATC is available. Control is the Brother CNC-B00 system, configurable for optional fourth- and fifth-axis operation. Overall machine dimensions are approximately 80.7 x 86.9 x 102 inches and the machine weighs approximately 5,291 lbs (2,400 kg). The TCS2DN0 and TCS2DN share identical spindle specifications, control systems, and overall machine height, differing only in table length and X-axis stroke. Key improvements over the TCS2C0 include the optional 16,000 RPM spindle and energy efficiency updates introduced with the DN generation.
