2005 CHIRON FZ08KW VERTICAL MACHINING CENTERS
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The 2005 Chiron FZ08KW is a 3-axis CNC vertical machining center from Chiron Group SE of Tuttlingen, Germany, representing the compact wide-table variant of the FZ08 family. The FZ08KW is a fundamentally smaller machine than the FZ08S and FZ08 KS variants, with a reduced work envelope purpose-built for very small precision components in electronics, watchmaking, and medical device manufacturing. The HSK-32 spindle delivers approximately 3.7 kW (5 HP) and reaches a maximum speed of 10,000 RPM, suited to fine detail work in aluminum, titanium, and non-ferrous alloys at small tool diameters. Axis travels are 300 mm (11.8 inches) in X, 250 mm (9.8 inches) in Y, and 250 mm (9.8 inches) in Z, with the work table measuring approximately 550 x 300 mm (21.7 x 11.8 inches). Control is provided by the Fanuc 21i-M CNC system. Overall machine dimensions are approximately 94.5 x 86.6 inches in footprint and the machine weighs approximately 5,512 lbs (2,500 kg). The KW configuration's compact work envelope and HSK-32 tooling distinguish it clearly from the larger FZ08 variants and make it unsuitable for general production milling but highly effective for small-batch precision manufacturing. The machine can be equipped with an optional rotary table for 4th-axis capability.
