2017 DOOSAN VCF850L VERTICAL MACHINING CENTERS
Specifications & Market Value

Technical Description
The 2017 Doosan VCF850L is a 3-axis moving-column vertical machining center and the long-travel variant of the VCF 850 platform, extending the X-axis to 118.1 inches (3,000 mm) for machining of very long aerospace frames, large mold bases, and extended industrial components. The work table measures 137.8 x 34.3 inches and supports loads up to 3,500 kg (7,716 lbs), with Y- and Z-axis travels of 33.5 and 31.5 inches matching the base VCF 850. The moving-column design keeps the workpiece stationary while the column traverses, enabling machining of parts too heavy or large for conventional table-travel VMCs. The spindle delivers 24.8 HP (18.5 kW continuous) at up to 12,000 RPM, controlled by the Doosan-Fanuc i series CNC with Heidenhain iTNC 530 available as an option. Rapid traverse rates of 40 m/min on all axes minimize non-cutting time across the extended travel envelope. Through-spindle coolant and a multi-tool ATC support complex multi-operation programs. The VCF850L adds 1,000 mm to the X-axis and 1,000 mm to the machine width versus the base VCF 850 with a corresponding 2,000 kg weight increase. Overall machine dimensions measure approximately 149.4 x 214.2 inches in footprint, 126.2 inches tall, with a total installed weight of approximately 52,910 lbs (24,000 kg).
