The 2025 FANUC ROBODRILL A-D21 LIB5 is a 5-axis compact drilling, tapping, and milling center from the FANUC RoboDrill alpha-D21LiB5 Plus series, representing the current-generation B5-Plus platform in the L-size 5-axis configuration. Engineered for high-speed precision production of complex small-to-medium workpieces, this machine delivers the extended 700 mm X-axis travel of the L-size bed with full 5-axis simultaneous interpolation capability. The 850 x 410 mm worktable supports workpieces up to 300 kg, or 400 kg with the optional DDR-TiB direct-drive rotary/tilt table. The BBT30 dual-contact spindle operates at 10,000 RPM standard, with 24,000 RPM available for high-speed aluminum and magnesium cutting; the high-speed spindle delivers approximately 7.4 HP continuous and up to 34.8 HP at one minute. The FANUC Series 31i-B5 Plus CNC delivers enhanced 5-axis simultaneous interpolation, AI contour control II, FANUC macro B, and the FANUC i-HMI touchscreen interface. The 21-tool ATC achieves 0.9-second tool-to-tool change time, and rapid traverse rates reach 33 m/min. Machine weight is approximately 4,630 lbs in base configuration and 5,071 lbs with the DDR-TiB rotary table. Overall dimensions are approximately 85 inches long by 82 inches wide by 90 inches tall. The B5-Plus generation introduced improved servo tuning, enhanced thermal compensation, and tighter positioning repeatability compared to the DiA generation.
