A+Technical Description
The 2008 Leadwell MCV1300 is a 3-axis vertical machining center occupying the upper range of the MCV series, providing an extended X-axis travel for larger workpieces than the MCV1000. Built on a heavy box-way fixed-column, moving-table cast iron structure, the machine delivers cutting rigidity and thermal stability for sustained production accuracy on demanding materials. The worktable measures approximately 67 by 27.5 inches, with axis travels of 52 inches in X, 30 inches in Y, and 22 inches in Z, accommodating large mold bases, heavy fixtures, and structural components. The CAT-50 or ISO-50 spindle taper supports large-diameter tooling with spindle speed reaching 10,000 RPM and power output in the 25 to 34 HP range. Maximum table load is approximately 3,300 lbs. The Fanuc 0i CNC provides G-code programming, rigid tapping, and canned cycle support. The MCV1300 is particularly well suited for large mold and die machining, heavy aerospace structural components, and industrial part manufacturing requiring extended X-axis reach with heavy-duty spindle capability and box-way rigidity for maximum cutting performance.
