A+Technical Description
The 1995 Mazak AJV-35/60 is a 3-axis double-column vertical machining center from Yamazaki Mazak's AJV series, designed for heavy-duty machining of large workpieces. The fixed double-column bridge structure provides exceptional rigidity for deep-cut operations on steel, cast iron, and large aluminum components. The worktable measures 1,740 x 750 mm (68.5" x 29.5") and supports a maximum load of approximately 2,500 kg (5,500 lbs). Axis travels are 1,500 mm (59.1") in X, 800 mm (31.5") in Y, and 508 mm (20.0") in Z, with the column passage between uprights of 880 mm (34.6"). The No. 50 (CAT-50) spindle taper operates up to 3,150 RPM with a motor rated at approximately 35 HP, delivering high torque for aggressive material removal on large structural and mold components. A 40-tool ATC supports extended multi-operation programs. The CNC is the Mazatrol 640M, Mazak's conversational and EIA/ISO platform with tool path simulation, rigid tapping, and macro programming support. Machine weight is approximately 11,000 kg (24,250 lbs). The AJV-35/60 is well established in aerospace, die/mold, energy, and heavy equipment manufacturing for large-part machining applications.
