Technical Description

The 2013 Mazak FJV-35/80 is a 3-axis double-column vertical machining center from Yamazaki Mazak's FJV series, the extended-X sibling of the FJV-35/60 designed for long workpiece machining with high structural rigidity. The fixed bridge column provides robust resistance to deflection under heavy cutting loads across the full table length. The worktable measures 2,240 x 750 mm (88.2" x 29.5") and supports a maximum load of approximately 3,000 kg (6,600 lbs), with the column passage at 880 mm (34.7") between uprights. Axis travels are 2,000 mm (78.7") in X, 800 mm (31.5") in Y, and 585 mm (23.0") in Z. The No. 50 (CAT-50) spindle taper operates up to 6,000 RPM standard, with an optional 10,000 RPM high-speed spindle also available. The motor is rated at approximately 50 HP, providing high torque for aggressive material removal. The CNC is the Mazatrol Matrix, Mazak's conversational and EIA/ISO programming platform with high-speed contouring, rigid tapping, tool path simulation, and macro programming.
