Technical Description

The 2020 Mazak VCS430A is a 3-axis vertical machining center with an integrated automatic pallet changer designed to maximize spindle utilization and enable continuous unmanned production. Built on the 430-class platform, it provides a 900 x 430 mm work table with X-axis travel of 22.05 inches, Y-axis travel of 16.93 inches, and Z-axis travel of 20.08 inches. The APC system allows one pallet to be loaded and fixtured while the machine is cutting on the other, eliminating setup idle time and supporting overnight or weekend lights-out operation. The No. 40 taper spindle delivers 12,000 RPM maximum speed with 10 HP continuous drive power, supporting productive machining of aluminum, steel, cast iron, and other common workpiece materials. A 30-tool automatic tool changer accommodates full multi-operation setups. The Mazatrol Smooth CNC provides conversational and EIA/ISO programming, intelligent pallet scheduling, advanced thermal compensation, and IoT connectivity for integration with factory monitoring systems and MES platforms. Box-way guideways maintain accuracy and damping throughout extended production runs. The VCS430A is well suited to high-volume manufacturing of precision prismatic components in automotive, aerospace, medical, and industrial sectors where maximizing productive spindle time and minimizing operator attendance are production priorities. Overall machine dimensions are approximately 87.4 x 104.3 x 109.4 inches and the machine weighs approximately 10,600 lbs.
