Technical Description

The 2014 Mazak VTC200C is a 3-axis traveling-column vertical machining center, the extended-X variant of the VTC200 series, designed for machining long workpieces and multi-part setups in a single program run. With 66.0 in. of X-axis travel and a 77.48 x 20.08 in. worktable, the VTC200C accommodates workpieces significantly longer than those suited to the VTC200B. The traveling-column design keeps the table stationary while the column traverses along X, allowing efficient staging of elongated components and batch workpieces. Table load capacity is 1,760 lbs. Axis travels are 66.0 in. (X), 20.08 in. (Y), and 20.08 in. (Z). The CAT 40 spindle achieves a maximum speed of 10,000 to 12,000 RPM with 20 HP of continuous output, enabling productive cutting across aluminum, steel, and cast iron. A 48-tool ATC and 1,181 IPM rapid traverse rates on all axes ensure efficient cycle times for complex multi-feature programs. The 2014 VTC200C is controlled by Mazatrol Matrix CNC, providing conversational Mazatrol and EIA/ISO programming with full 3-axis contouring, tool life management, and DNC connectivity. With overall dimensions of approximately 226 in. long by 117 in. wide by 109 in. tall and a machine weight of approximately 18,210 lbs, the VTC200C is a capable production machine for aerospace, mold, die, and precision component manufacturing requiring long-workpiece capability.
