The 2000 QUANTUM 2000 is a large-format 3-axis vertical machining center built by Kasuga Works for heavy-duty milling, boring, and drilling of large industrial components. The 95" x 36.6" worktable supports loads up to 6,600 lbs, accommodating large castings, weldments, and tooling plates. Axis travels of 80" in X, 35.4" in Y, and 32" in Z deliver a generous cutting envelope for oversized workpieces. The No. 50 taper spindle provides 30 HP at up to 6,000 RPM in a 2-speed geared configuration, supplying high torque for demanding roughing in steel, cast iron, and non-ferrous materials. The machine is controlled by a Fanuc 18iM CNC, offering reliable 3-axis part program execution with conversational and G-code programming. A 40-tool ATC enables complex multi-operation setups. At approximately 39,700 lbs, the QUANTUM 2000 is a substantial, rigidly built platform suited to heavy manufacturing industries including die and mold, energy equipment, and heavy equipment component production.
