A+Technical Description
The 2018 QUANTUM Q1000 is a 3-axis vertical machining center manufactured by Kasuga Works, engineered for medium-to-large component milling, drilling, and tapping. The 55" x 23.6" worktable supports loads up to 2,200 lbs and provides a stable platform for production machining. Axis travels of 42" in X, 24" in Y, and 25.6" in Z span a practical cutting envelope for a wide range of industrial parts. The No. 50 taper spindle delivers 25 HP at up to 6,000 RPM in a geared 2-speed configuration, providing the torque needed for heavy roughing alongside adequate speed for finishing operations. A Fanuc 18i-M CNC controls the machine, delivering proven reliability and broad G-code compatibility. A 30-tool ATC supports multi-operation part production. The Q1000 combines a large work envelope with robust construction, making it well-suited to job shops and production facilities processing medium-to-large components in tooling, energy equipment, and general manufacturing.
