Technical Description

The 2017 ROEDERS RFM1000 is a 3-axis high-speed bridge-type machining center from German precision machine builder Roeders, designed for high-accuracy mold, die, and electrode machining at extreme spindle speeds. The 39.8" x 27.6" worktable accommodates large mold plates and die inserts, while the fixed-bridge, moving-table design provides maximum rigidity for high-speed cutting. Axis travels of 39.4" in X, 31.5" in Y, and 15.7" in Z span a generous cutting envelope for large-format precision workpieces. The spindle operates at up to 30,000 RPM, enabling efficient high-speed finishing of hardened tool steel, graphite electrodes, and aluminum with minimal thermal distortion. The RFM1000 is controlled by ROEDERS' proprietary RMS6 CNC, which features high-speed look-ahead processing and advanced jerk control for smooth surface finish in high-feed contouring. Thermal compensation and high-precision linear scale feedback ensure dimensional accuracy throughout extended production runs. The RFM1000 is well-suited to precision toolmaking, injection mold manufacturing, and die casting tool production where surface finish and geometric accuracy in hardened materials are primary requirements.
