A+Technical Description
The 2014 ROEDERS RFM760S is a 3-axis high-speed machining center from German builder Roeders, engineered for ultra-high-speed finishing of precision molds, dies, and graphite electrodes. The 33.9" x 21.7" worktable supports loads up to 1,764 lbs and provides a stable surface for medium-format mold plates and die inserts. Axis travels of 29.9" in X, 21.7" in Y, and 11.8" in Z define a precise cutting envelope for complex contoured surfaces. The HSK-E40 taper spindle delivers approximately 27 HP (20 kW) at up to 42,000 RPM, enabling fine chip-load high-speed cutting in hardened steel up to 62 HRC, graphite, copper, and aluminum with excellent surface finish. Feed rates of up to 1,181 ipm support aggressive high-speed finishing strategies. The RMS6 CNC provides high-speed look-ahead interpolation, high-precision servo control, and advanced surface finish optimization functions. Linear glass scale feedback in all axes ensures sub-micron positioning accuracy. The RFM760S is suited to precision injection mold manufacturing, stamping die production, and electrode machining.
