The 2020 SAMSUNG MCV500 is a 3-axis vertical machining center from Korean manufacturer Samsung Machine Tools (SMEC), designed for production milling, drilling, and tapping of medium-to-large components. The 47.24" x 21.26" worktable supports loads up to 2,205 lbs, with axis travels of 41.34" in X, 21.26" in Y, and 20.47" in Z. The CAT40 Big-Plus dual-contact taper spindle delivers 25 HP at up to 10,000 RPM, providing capable torque for steel roughing alongside aluminum high-speed capability. A Fanuc 0i-MF CNC controls the machine. A 30-tool ATC enables complex multi-operation production setups. Rapid traverse of 1,417 ipm in all axes minimizes non-cutting time.
