Technical Description

The 2025 MAZAK VTC300C is a 3-axis traveling-column vertical machining center offering a large machining envelope suited to aerospace, energy, and die and mold applications. The VTC-300C features Mazak's partitioned table design, which divides the 78.7-inch work surface into two independent zones for simultaneous load-and-run operation, allowing one zone to be loaded while the opposite zone is actively cutting. This reduces operator idle time and increases spindle utilization. The 12,000 RPM spindle and 25 HP continuous-duty motor support both high-speed aluminum roughing and precision steel finishing. A 24-tool automatic tool changer handles a broad variety of cutting tools without manual intervention, and the 3,300-pound table load capacity accommodates heavy workpieces and multi-part fixtures. The CAT-40 spindle taper provides versatile tooling compatibility across standard tooling inventories. Rapid traverse rates up to 1,582 IPM minimize non-cutting axis movements across the full 65-inch X stroke. The Mazatrol CNC control platform delivers conversational part programming and integrated tool-life monitoring. Later Smooth-series control units add advanced 3D simulation and network connectivity through the Mazak SmartBox interface. The VTC-300C is a versatile platform for long-part machining of structural components, shafts, plates, and complex prismatic parts.
