The 2020 SAMSUNG MCV50L is a 3-axis vertical machining center from Korean manufacturer Samsung Machine Tools (SMEC), representing the long-table variant of the MCV50 series with an extended X-axis travel for increased part length capacity. The 47.3" x 20.1" CAT40 Big-Plus worktable provides a generous work surface. The extended axis configuration provides 41.34" in X, 20.5" in Y, and 20.5" in Z, expanded relative to the standard MCV50 for increased part length flexibility. The dual-contact CAT40 Big-Plus spindle delivers 15 HP continuously at up to 10,000 RPM. A Fanuc 0i-MD CNC controls the machine with reliable G-code execution and comprehensive canned cycle support. A 30-tool ATC supports multi-operation production sequences. The MCV50L is well-suited to job shops and production facilities that regularly machine longer workpieces requiring extended X-axis travel within the MCV50's established performance class.
